Memorial day weekend's extravaganza of events...Friday was spent at my daughter's school shooting photos of the kids during field day. I got in touch with the photo
liaison for the school's paper and the neighborhood advocate. We stayed in touch over the weekend and she commented
that my photos were "wonderful." She chose about 25 that she may use to publish in her story of the event.
I had such a blast photographing these kids. They were quick! I would run around with them trying to catch as many action
photos as possible. Yes, I had to use heating pads the next day when allowing my muscles to recooperate, lol but it
was worth it. I even raced my daughter's class during one course. It was fun!
Saturday I packed up my
portable studio and set it up inside of a hospital room for maternity photos. The mother-to-be has been on bed rest
for a few weeks and was not able to leave the hospital, but really wanted photos. She deserved the best and it was great
that the hospital was so generous to allow us to shoot them in another room. These will be posted soon.
Sunday,
I took a break with family... that was definitely needed.
Monday, I set the studio up again and shot pics of children,
family, and did some self portraits.
New photos will be posted soon!

Soccer Pics Plus my next assignment - Pregnancy photos...The women's Soccer team was awesome! The team, Heat, had some quick moves and were able to crush the Chubby
Burritos. I especially enjoyed watching their tricky pass moves. It was great! I captured some head hits and even
one goal shot. They truly had some team spirit. There were fans playing music and holding signs throughout the
game and the coaches were wonderful! It was a pleasure shooting the action photos and group shot. Maybe I'll get
an invite for the next season.
Tip - Move around and don't get too close to the white line - also
get down low, there are some neat shots at every angle. I found good spots on the opposite side from the coaches and
near the goals, just watch out for the ball - keep two eyes open! ;-)
I landed a new job this Saturday.
I'll be capturing the sweet moments between a mother and her unborn child. I can't wait!! :-)

Soccer Team PhotosI just received a request for another photography job! I will be shooting photos this Sunday of a woman's soccer
team. I'm looking forward to getting some action shots! I'll be sure to get releases turned in so that
I can post some of them outside of the password protected gallery. For any newbie photographers - please get releases
filled out if you plan on posting public photos of others. Verbal ok's don't count. I know I wouldn't
be happy with someone posting a picture of me and especially not my daughter, without my permission. You can do
a search on google for forms. I have some typed up for adults and for minors. Have them with you at all times,
if you enjoy taking your camera wherever you go. Hey, my purse IS my camera bag! lol

My first official blog on the new layoutI have previously been posting at another location, but finally decided (now that I have extra time) that I should create
a blog through the company that I pay for web services! This way, I can bypass all of the advertisements that so many
of you love. lol yea right. Anyway, my adventures last night consisted of checking soccer team orders and updating
Julie's bridal gallery. I had such a blast with her photos. We went to the Arboretum and basically played
on the shoot. I captured some amazing photos of her georgous eyes and her ballerina jumps. I can't wait till I can
display them on the site. I have a few more weeks till their marriage.... and then post crazy I will become.
The arboretum was very jam packed with other brides and photographers. We tried to pick the empty places and
thanks to my lighting equipment, we were able to set up in bright day light. ;-) She was a team player and liked my
silly antics, which is always a good thing. I find myself being able to communicate well with kids and adults.
Julie was definitely letting loose after we shot the more serious poses and focused on the fun shots.
My
next assignment will be engagement photos.... another favorite of mine!
