Engagement Photos ROCKED!!!
This morning I photographed a lovely couple around the Dallas Museum of Art.  If you ever photograph there make sure you get permission, otherwise you cannot set up any extra equipment.  However, there were several places in the area that did not try to stop us from setting up reflectors.

I had a fantastic time shooting photos!  My brother Russell helped with the equipment set-up and even gave us some awesome ideas for some of the photos.  My favorite was the stopping traffic photo!  (Haven't gotten to that one yet)  Holly and Jeff were great!! I can't wait to take more pics with them and their family!  Thank you Holly and Jeff!!!! :-)

Here are a few from the shoot - I will be posting more soon!

Bride's Feedback from Jodie's wedding...
I just received a testimonial from the Bride (Jodie), Jodie & Billy's wedding at the Bingham House!  I will let you read it for yourself, but let me tell you, it felt wonderful reading it!!!

Yvette (and Russell and Russell),

Thanks so much for capturing all my wedding memories so perfectly and creatively!  I have gotten so many complements on your concepts and talent.  Plus, I think the pictures turned out wonderful because you are very good at making everyone feel comfortable.  I know that was the case with me anyway!  Your passion for photography is obvious in every photo and every shoot.  Your energy is boundless and infectious.  You are truly one-of-a-kind, and I'm honored to refer you every chance I get.  Thanks for taking such beautiful pictures that I can look at and be filled with joy for years to come.  I'm excited to have you capture all my "big moments" to come!

Graciously,
Jodie-

I will be posting this on my Customer Reviews page.  ;-)  Thanks Jodie - I had so much fun photographing your special day!!!

June 6th weekend

My birthday, on Friday, was awesome! I had an 80s themed party and most of my guests dressed up.  I rented a beauty dish and pocket wizard to shoot a few photos.  I didn't take as many as I thought I might, but I will be posting a few soon.

I also met a possible new customer that found me in the Shepherd's guide.  We had an incredible interview and I am really looking forward to working with her.  I asked for a bit of feedback about how she found me and what she thought of my website.  One of her comments was that she liked how the site was personalized.  That was great news to hear and one of my hopes for this site - that people can begin to to get a feel for who I am.  It's not always easy to find the right connection between a photographer and customer. I do hope that potential customers find the right fit with their photographer - whether its me or someone else.

Senior Portraits
I have added a new gallery with some sample senior pictures from the shoot on Saturday May 31, 2008.  So far I have received a couple of kudos from the shoot.  I added them to the customer reviews page.  It was so much fun shooting guy senior portraits.  We were on a hunt for an old barn or building.  I have no idea what that thing was that we found at the lake, but it worked. We used about every angle of it and I found some neat leading lines.  I broke through when I busted out with beavis and butthead impersonations.  I had a blast on the shoot and look forward to more senior portrait jobs. :-)
