Busy, Busy, Busy! Two Bridal sessions Plus some Lake Photos! The two bridal sessions were amazing! The first one was at the bride's mother's home. They have restored an
older home and it was just gorgeous. It was about two hours from Dallas, so I drove to their place the night before
and stayed the night in their guest bedroom. The entire family was so warm, friendly, and genuine! The next morning
I was prepared to begin the shoot by 7am. I walked around the house, inside and out, to determine the best areas to
use. Once the bride was ready, we began the shoot. Rachel was such a natural model! We used dogs, a puppy,
boots, and even a baseball bat and hat! It was so much fun! I can't wait to post the photos after the wedding this
Friday. I'll be shooting that as well, in Canton, TX. I'm totally prepared and extremely excited!!!
The next bridal session could not have been more perfect!! The day we chose was August 17th and after hearing
the weather report, the bride called me to inform me that we may need to move the session indoors. I explained that
we would be prepared, bringing umbrellas and protectors if that should happen, but there are spots we could still use at the
Dallas Arboretum. I was prepared for a weather change and also know how Dallas rain can be finicky, and not constant
all the time. The day began with an overcast sky, perfect for soft, natural, diffused lighting, and the weather was
the best it has been all summer! It was cool with a slight breeze. The arboretum was empty! There must have been
tons of photographers who rescheduled their photo shoots, because that place is generally swarming with brides and photographers
just about every weekend, especially Saturday mornings! I can count on one hand how many Quiencenera girls and brides
there were (3!). We did not have to wait for the "hot spots" and could take our time without feeling rushed...
not only was the weather perfect, the sky perfect, but also the free spaces without tons of people walking behind the bride!
That was such a blessed and perfect bridal shoot day!!!
The last adventure that I had was last weekend at the Lake
in Austin! It was to celebrate my mom's birthday. We water skied, road an intertube, and went swimming.
I shot some awesome action photos on the boat and will be sharing some soon!

Maternity Photos, Bridal Shoots, and a Photo Session Drawing!I will be uploading maternity photos soon. These were shot in Tracy's home with her husband. I set up a black
backdrop in their living room and shot many different poses. We had a great time and shot some added silly photos!
I just finished working on some bridals I shot last Sunday. The bride's family welcomed me into their home
the night before since they live over 2 hours away. They have a Georgous home and were so sweet and inviting. Their
house had many spots to shoot some amazing photos. I will be posting these after her wedding on August 29th.
Tomorrow I will be shooting bridals of Sarah. The weather is not in our favor, but I plan on brining umbrellas
and working around it. I've shot bridals in the rain before, so I'm up for the challenge. ;-)
Last, I would like to announce a new photo session drawing -- The drawing will be held September 2nd.
Please have your forms submitted no later than September 1st by midnight. You can find a link to the registration
form on my home page. The winner will receive a Free Photo session at the Dallas Arboretum, my favorite place for photos!
Good Luck!!
